Housing Choice Voucher Program
The Housing Choice Voucher Program helps low-income families, the elderly, and people with disabilities pay for safe, well-maintained housing in the private market. Participants are free to select the housing of their choice. However, the units must meet our quality standards.
If you are eligible for this program, we will pay a portion of the rent to your landlord. You are required to pay the difference.
Housing Requirements
There is a limit on what an owner can ask for rent. Rent must be reasonable for the area and the unit itself including amenities, bedroom size, facilities, location, and utilities must fall within the reasonable range.
Eligibility
Eligibility is based on:
- Annual Gross Income
- The Applicant may qualify for preferences based on their individual situation
- U.S. citizenship or eligible immigrant status
The income limits are as follows:
